About the project
The ageing of the European rural areas is a reality that threatens the depopulation of many areas. If Public Authorities want to respond to this threat, it is essential to foster innovation and Digital transformation of SMEs in order to train them in the creation of products and services demanded by people who make up the Silver Economy (elder Adults).
A common methodology will be created to implement policies / strategies adapted to the specific needs of each territory and develop specific solutions (validated through pilot tests) which wil respond to the needs of the Silver Economy population group, with 2 main objectives:
1. Promote Innovation and Digital transformation of SMEs in rural areas as response to the products and services demanded by those over 55 years of age in the European rural environment, as a strategy to improve their competitiveness.
2. Facilitate access to social services, especially socio-health services preventive, to those over 55 years of age in rural areas.
