About the project
The Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T links Europe through multimodal and interoperable transport. However, its benefits aren't always evenly distributed, with some regions experiencing the "tunnel effect," where they're bypassed by major routes, missing out on potential advantages.
The TENcoonecT project aims to rectify this, enhancing accessibility, sustainability, and local appeal across these regions. Its objectives are:
Promoting bottom-up corridor governance initiatives, focusing on engaging the business sector and boosting local economies.
Creating interoperable mobility platforms along corridors, prioritizing citizen needs and multimodal fare systems for transit and accessibility-oriented development.
Establishing physical and digital interfaces for seamless transport of passengers and goods.
Implementing smart solutions to stimulate local economies, increase regional appeal, and direct traffic to tourist areas, mitigating the "tunnel effect.
Partners we are looking for
We are looking for regional partners, preferably public authorities located in regions crossed by important transport corridors, but with important challenges to minimise the negative impacts and maximise the benefits.
